Master’s Degree 2 Territorial and Environmental Law and Public Action
It focuses on issues related to the law of local and regional authorities, spatial planning, public action and the environment. This diploma is intended to professionalise (a 3-month practical internship is also required) without excluding the possibility of doing a research thesis in view of preparing a doctorate within the CEJEP (Centre d’Études Juridiques et Politiques, research laboratory of the faculty). It offers a variety of legal courses (decentralisation law, environmental law, coastal and port law, urban planning, public markets, etc.) from a multidisciplinary perspective, in order to better meet the expectations of professionals in the public and private sectors (local authorities, law firms, consultancies).Director of the Master’s 2
Testimony of a graduate student
After starting my university studies at the University of Nantes, I chose to benefit from the course provided by the University of La Rochelle. The Master’s Degree 2 Territorial and environmental settings (currently named Public Territorial and Environmental Law and Action course ) first of all allowed me to train in general subjects of public law (administrative contracts, public domain, civil service, public litigation...) but also in more specific areas such as the environment and coastal areas. If this training is essential for people who wish to join the local civil service, it also allows one to occupy other legal professions in the private sector, as a lawyer, of course, but also as a lawyer in a company or in a law firm. Now a lawyer in an international law firm, I can only recommend this Rochelais Master’s degree, which, thanks to its closeness with the teaching staff, its quality, its support and its seriousness, represents a real asset for all students who wish to quickly enter the professional world.Aurélien Boulineau, Lawyer.
